Busy Saturday

Saturday I finally got a chance to get out and plant my strawberries and onions.  There is a chance of rain tonight and tomorrow so that should be really good for them.  Also got the other plants uncovered and hope they get some sun and a little rain too.  Cleaned up some of the mess Buster has made over last few days with the wet weather.  Need a really big Spring Cleaning.

This is Kim's first day at the resort not being able to sell her things that supplemented her craft time there.  Hoping it goes well but not expecting much.  As for the other resort, she had been having trouble contacting them.  Not a good sign, she was a little fretful about it.  I tried to tell her they probably get really busy and she got lost in the shuffle and were probably scrambling to get her an answer.  She was supposed to start there this coming weekend and part of spring break.  It just so happened that that is pretty much what happened.  They hadn't been able to get things lined up for her so they told her they want her Easter.  Good, but she misses out on the spring break crowd.  Still wait and see how this goes.

We did make it up to Cabela's Thursday instead of Friday.  Beautiful, Chamber of Commerce type day except for the 30 mph gale.  We were much to late for the ammo sale.  They said they were completely sold out by 11 AM the day the sale started.  Every time obama opens his mouth about guns, ammo gets scarce.

Also got my hands on a couple air rifles I have been researching.  I was pretty surprised at how heavy they are.  As heavy or heavier than a regular rifle.  They ranged mostly in the 8-9 lb range.  Would hate carry that around to long squirrel/rabbit hunting.  I tell myself the weight will help with accuracy and that I won't be trekking through the woods with it, so back yard should be OK.  Narrowing them down.  Just really disappointing there is only one brand out of dozens that actually are manufactured and assembled in the USA.  It is not at all what I am even considering.  Most are made in China, with some of those being assembled here.

Happy Trails
