That Time of Year

They are all over the place.  You even have to watch where you step.

Almost every year we have at least one of these little ones camp out on the front porch for a few hours.  Not sure why they find that area so attractive.  These were taken looking out the windows in the front of the house.

Happy Trails

Beautiful, and one hopes they grow into good sized deer!

Years ago, my wife and I went to the movie. It's out in the woods, next to the bowling alley. When we got out of the car, there was a fawn wandering around in the parking lot. We called DNR. They said not to touch it, and sent two guys out. The two DNR men said to leave it alone when they got there, and it would go back to it's mom. It promptly ran out into the road and almost got run over. They caught it and took it back to the tree line. I never knew if it's mom showed up but it wasn't there when the movie got over.

Maybe they come back because their Mom, Grandmom, etc. all hung out there. It's a family tradition...
