Hadn't been thinking much about the whole ebola thing
lately. Which might seem strange as the
wife is related by marriage to one of the first Americans to contract the
disease. That was a stressful
time.
There are more and more things on the interweb regarding
what is happening here in the US with ebola as you most likely already know. Lots
of accusations being thrown around and now some are saying the CDC is lying
about how the disease is transmitted. I don't think they even know for sure.
The thing that bothers me the most is that they are still allowing flights from countries that can't control the disease. I wouldn't be surprised to find out it is a political move. Something to do with securing our borders and giving the other party ammo to fight immigration policy changes or something like that. Their job is to protect Americans and they are letting politics put us all at risk. Now I hear there is evidence of Liberians crossing our Southern border illegally.
I have no use for politicians these days and haven't for a
long time. It just seems to get
worse. It's hard to cut through all the
garbage to determine the truth when both sides are doing their utmost to tear
the other down.
Sorry for the rant, I'll change the subject.
Finally got the news about when my surgery is. December 3 @7:30 AM. The wait will seem interminable at times. On the list to move up if there are any
cancellations. But there are rarely any
cancellations for this robotics surgery and everyone scheduled is on the 'move
up list' for cancellations. They don't
do more than 3 per day so the wait just gets longer and longer. Trying to stay positive and push out any
darkness that comes my way. Things could always be worse.
I was reminded recently:
"Do not be anxious
about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6
Thought that was
very appropriate.
Thanks much for
coming by, your presence cheers me more than you know.
